7 reasons to explore our courtyards

January 5, 2016

You may regularly enjoy a bacon butty and a mug of tea or stop by for coffee and cake in the farmhouse, but how often do you venture into the courtyard when the market isn't on?

If you haven't or don't you are missing out o some amazing independent and unique businesses.  Here is our guide to the best of them:

Scruffy to Fluffy

Our former waitress Leigh has branched out on her own and has made us proud, starting her own brand new dog grooming business.  Her gorgeous little parlor is a haven of doggy style and pampering.

Re Nu Therapies

Grown ups get a pamper too and squirreled away upstairs above the cafe is the brilliant Ruth and her aromatherapy suite and pamper room.  Ruth has built a reputation for her personal service and amazing, tailored massages.  And what better place for some pampering in essential oils than a lavender farm?

The Vintage Bike Stable

Wander round the building to find this Aladdin cave of all things bikes.  John turns his talented hands to repairing and restoring vintage bikes, restoring them to their former glory.  Its fascinating to watch and his workshop a treat to see.

Just Joy Events

Tucked round the back, up the stairs is Just Joy and their pretty split level wedding accessories shop. Joy is a wedding planner and can help you create your perfect vintage wedding and Dolly the campervan is awlays available for hire to get you to the church in unique style.  Joy's shop is in what used to be the stable hands apartments in the second floor of the red brick barn!

Orlah Wax

Back in the main courtyard is the lovely Kay and her pretty shop full of gorgeous wax melts.  All made in her workshop in the back of the shop - the was melts come in all manner of scents including the sparkly unicorn poop ones! Kay also makes lavender melts from our own lavender.  Reminiscent of an old school sweet shop it will leave you smelling wonderful!

Rainford Heritage centre

Run by Rainford Heritage Society, our mini museum is packed to bursting with fascinating local artifacts. It is definitely worth a mooch if you are interested in local history and even houses an old Saints red V!  The barn itself is spectacular with its high beam ceiling and the doors to the upper floor still in place.  It's our dream to restore it!

Garden Room Design

Across by the big barn you may well have noticed wooden huts as you arrived.  Garden Room Designs make bespoke garden rooms, and unique sheds.  Fulfill that dream of a hot tub and bar at the bottom of your garden or build a den to get away from the kids or the other half!

Essencia Oils

Last but not least is our very own essential oils shop! All our home distilled oils are bottled here and available to buy along with a range of over 80 other essential oils and carrier (massage) oils.   There are scented candles from Flo candles and a range of complimentary aromatherapy products
